Organization

Istituto Ricerche Solari Aldo e Cele Daccò (IRSOL) is affiliated to Università della Svizzera italiana and is run by an independent foundation.

IRSOL is governed by the Foundation Council, which takes strategic decisions, approves financial expenditures and reports, plans the funding acquisition strategy, as well as appoints members of the Scientific Committee, Directorate and Institute’s personnel. The Scientific Committee provides advice to the Foundation Council and Directorate on the Institute’s research program and reviews its scientific performance. The Directorate plans the scientific strategy of the Institute, coordinates its scientific activities and is responsible for administrative matters of the Institute. IRSOL and its director are affiliated with the Faculty of Informatics at USI, that allows for supervising students. USI provides support in grant management, IT services, technology transfer, corporate design, outreach etc.
